TRYON, N.C. -A memorial services for Alfred Guerry Addy, 74, of Rt. 1, 735 Moore Road, will be held at 4 p.m. today at Springs of Grace Community Church. The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. this evening at Petty Funeral Home and from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Davids Lutheran Church, with burial in the church cemetery with Full Military Rites. The service will be conducted by Rev. Craig Abee. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 421 N. Trade St., Tryon, N.C. 28782; or to the building fund of Springs of Grace Community Church, 169B Giles Drive, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Petty Funeral Home, Landrum, is in charge.

Mr. Addy died Friday, June 30, 2000, at his home. A native of Columbia, he was the son of the late Robert Lacont and Mary Julia Waits Addy. He was a member of the Springs of Grace Community Church. He was retired from the U.S. Coast Guard as a CWO-4. He was a life member of the VFW in Wilmington, N.C., and a member of the Green Creek Ruritans. He served on the USS Prime during World War II.
