Illness Fatal To D. H. Loflin
Service to Be Conducted From Home at 10 a.m. Today

Funeral service for Daniel H. Loflin, resident of Jones and Taylor counties for 15 years will be held from the family residence, 1154 Butternut Street, at 10 o'clock this morning, with the Rev. J. H. Hamblen, pastor of the First Methodist church officiating.

Mr. Loflin, 69, succumbed Wednesday night at his home. In failing health several years, he had been confined to his bed for a month.

Mr. Loflin was born April 13, 1862, in Mississippi, and came to Texas as a young man. An optometrist, he practiced at Anson eight years prior to coming here seven years ago.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jewell Peak and Miss Mittie [sic: Minnie] Loflin, and a son Waddell of Gilmer. His wife died July 4, 1928.

Pallbearers will be J. N. Routh, Dr. W. C. Dunn, M. D. Hale, C. C. Murphy, J. Rathmell and B. C. Maxfield. Arrangements are in charge of Kiker-Knight funeral home.
