Mrs. Pangburn
MILLER - The funeral service for Mrs. Constance H. Pangburn, 72, who died Friday in Minneapolis will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James Smucker officiating. Interment will be in the GAR Cemetery.
Constance Hayem was born Aug. 29, 1902 at Laurium, Mich. to Mr. and Mrs. Sivert Hayem. She graduated from high school there and attended George Washington University in Washington , D.C. for one year. She received her R.N. degree at Chicago in 1925. She was married to Merrill W. Pangburn June 15, 1925 in Chicago. Following their marriage they moved to Rapid City and in 1928 to Scotland. In April of 1930 they moved to Miller.
Mrs. Pangburn was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and served as an elder, a member of UPW, church choir, Chapter AK, PEO, Federated Women's Club, Hospital Auxiliary, ALA, World War I Blue Grass Barracks Auxiliary. She also served on the Senior Citizens housing committee.
Survivors include one son, Robert, Corning, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. Merle (Merrilyn) Baxter, Rockham, Mrs. Robert (Jean) Goodspeed, Pipestone, Minn., and Mrs. Gary (Sally) Kulm, Pierre; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; one brother, George Hayem, Laurium, Mich.; ;and one sister, Mrs. Howard (Ingenborg) MacLeod, Kearsarge, Mich. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.
Active pallbearers will be Milton Becker, C.E. Hart, Mack Jones, Oral Wilson, Dr. James DeGeest and Paul Robinson.
