Warren Glen Thompson
(July 26, 1920 - May 6, 2007)

WASHINGTON TERRACE - Warren Glen Thompson, 86, died Sunday, May 6, 2007, and his wife, Mary Kathleen Votaw Thompson "Tommie", 85, died Saturday, May 5, 2007, both at Washington Terrace Health Services.

Warren was born July 26, 1920 in Scipio, Utah, a son of Marion Glen and Sylvia Ann Petersen Thompson. He had one brother, William C. Thompson and one sister, Paulene Frampton, (deceased). He served with the U.S. Army for four years, two of those years in Africa and Italy. He was an operating engineer for 30 years. He was also a member of the Eagles, Elks, and American Legion.

Tommie was born July 7, 1921 in Boyce, Louisiana, a daughter of Clark M. and Addie Rene Rougeou Votaw. She had one sister, Julia Fay Cross (deceased). She was a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for 40 years, and held a number of offices in the Utah State Nurse Anesthetist Association.

They were married in 1945 at Fitzsimmons Hospital in Denver, Colorado. They both enjoyed golfing and fishing. Dad enjoyed hunting in his earlier years. They retired in 1982 and became snowbirds in 1984. They traveled and lived in various places in an RV for 18 years. They resided in the Ogden area at the time of their deaths.

They lived, loved, and laughed together for 62 years, and in the end they passed within hours of each other. We couldn't ask for better angels.

They are survived by daughters, Kay Thompson and Cheryl (Mark) Omer, and son Michael Warren (Renee) Thompson; two granddaughters, Shera Omer and Samantha Larsen, all of the Ogden area.

Joint Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road where Military Honors will be accorded for Warren.
