Jacob Earl Bowen Sr., 62 years old, lost his courageous battle to cancer on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Manor Care, Pottstown. Born and raised in Stowe, he was predeceased by his parents Bonnie Harper & Thurman Bowen & his first wife Kathryn Miller. He was a member of West End Fire Company, German Club and St. Gabriels Lodge. Jacob worked for Asplundh Tree Co. for many years & most recently Sky Brush & Redi Lift. He was quite a handyman, a fantastic cook and most of all a loving thoughtful father, brother and friend. Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, in Highland Memorial Park, 701 Farmington Ave., Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Donald Eisenhauer. There will be no viewing. Contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, c/o Joan Gehris, National Penn Bank, 1830 E. High St., Pottstown, PA 19464.
