For most of his life, Willie was employed in the local textile mills; but later in life, for 15 years, he worked as a crossing guard. He was also a communicant of Saint Joseph’s Church.
Willie was survived by his daughter, Yvette (Simoneau) Hébert and her husband Conrad of Biddeford; a half-brother, Charles E. Simoneau of Port Chester, New Hampshire; a half-sister, Germaine (Simoneau) Légaré of Biddeford; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his two wives, he had been predeceased by his son (Albert L. Simoneau) in 1980, four sisters, three brothers, and two half-brothers.
Calling hours were held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Monday afternoon and evening at the R.C. Bolduc and Sons Funeral Home; and a funeral mass took place at 8:30 on Tuesday morning at Saint Joseph’s Church, followed by interment at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery.
