Frances Virginia was born Aug. 26, 1912 in Philadelphia, the fifth of seven children. She had sisters Ornella, Mildred, Onda & Mabel and brothers, Aligi who died as a baby in Italy and David, known as Ollie. Her parents were Donato and Palmina Calandra.
She lived in Philadelphia until Feb. 1920 when her mother died and then went to live with her Uncle Chet in Altoona (along with Rollie and Onda) until her father remarried Ermina Dipasquantonia in 1921.
She moved to Cleveland with her family in 1928 when she was 16 and graduated from Collinwood High School in 1930.
Francis was 20 when she married Dan Cirino on Jan. 12, 1932 in Geneva, Ohio and had three children listed above born in Cleveland. The family moved to California in 1962.
Frances & Dan had been married 51 years when she passed away on April 4, 1983 from cancer at age 71 and is buried at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth, CA. In addition to her husband and 3 children, she was survived by six grandchildren. Frances was 5'3" tall with auburn hair and brown eyes.
Dan continued to live in Chattsborth and passed away 27 years later on May 14, 2010 at age 97.
