NATCHEZ-Funeral services for Ruth Bryant, 86, of Natchez, who died Monday, December 17, 2012 at her residence, will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Purvis and Rev. Everett Ellzey officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bryant was born January 11, 1926 in Jefferson County, MS, the daughter of Dan Rushing and Amanda Leona Anders Rushing. She was a charter member of Stanton Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mark Bryant, her brother, Howard Rushing, and her sister, Elaine Davis.
Survivors include two daughters: Betty Smith and husband, Harry, of Ocean Springs and Linda Hill and husband, Steve, of Natchez; two sons: Mark E. Bryant and wife, Verna, of Natchez and Danny C. Bryant and wife, Pat, of Ballston Spa, NY; 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Terrell Foster, Russell Brown, Ken Britt, Lucien Bullen, David Mize, and Hugh Arnold.
