He was born in Brooklyn, NY, on March 25, 1934, and was preceded in death by his mother, Veronica Blakitis, and father, Richard G. Seddon.
He joined the Navy in 1951, during which time he served in Korea and Vietnam and retired as a Master Chief Avionics Technician and was transferred from active duty to the Fleet Reserve of the United States Navy in 1974. Following his Navy career he taught electronics at Central Florida Community College retiring in 1996.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW 8255 Middleburg, FL, and also a lifetime member of the Ocala Elks Lodge No. 286 and a long standing member of the Ocala Moose Lodge and Disabled Veterans.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria Sue Dean Seddon; daughter, Robyn Lynn (Michael) Dietzenbach, Evergreen, CO; granddaughter, Mikayla Lynn Dietzenbach and grandson, Hunter Austin Dietzenbach. Also, his beloved pets, ACE and Tasha.
Close friends and family will gather at the Seddon residence on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 2 p.m. to celebrate his life. At a later date he will return to the sea.
