Ronald Richard Macklin, 66, passed away on December 12, 2012 at his home in South Palm Beach, Florida with his family by his side. He was born on December 4, 1946 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Charles Richard Macklin and Wanda Willie Shultz. Ron graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1968, where he received a degree in Management and Accounting. Ron was a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he served in the Artillery with the 101st Airborne Division. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star, Air Medal and Army Commendation Medal. Ron served as Chief Operating Officer of Special Asset Solutions, LLC. He also worked for General Electric Credit Corporation and Grub and Ellis. Ron was actively involved in the Building Owners and Management Association (BOMA). Ron was a beloved brother, father, papa and friend. He enjoyed working hard, spending time with family and friends, sailing and taking money from his friends on the golf course. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Wanda Macklin. Ron is survived by his children Eric (wife Julie), Macklin, Melissa Boyle, Tim (wife Jennifer) Macklin, Tracey (husband Brad ) Foy and Corey Macklin (fiancé Andrew Scinto). His sister Glenda (husband Lance) Armstrong and brother Andy Macklin (wife Barbara) and grandchildren, Jack, Aidan, Max, Mimi, Ella, and A.J. niece Brooke and nephews Jesse, C.J., Ron and Will. Friends may come to pay their respects at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of US Hwy. #1 & NE 15th Ave., Boynton Beach Florida on Monday December 17 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A full military burial will be held promptly at 1:15 pm on Tuesday December 18th at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33467
