Leon R. Warner, 76, of Hallstead, PA passed away May 8, 2010 in the Gino J. Merli Veteran's Center, Scranton, PA. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Pearl M. Warner. Also surviving are three daughters, Salli A. Warner, Rosalie and James Atkinson, all of Hallstead, and Cathi L. Warner, Kissimmee, FL; two grandchildren, Jamie L. Atkinson and Kelly M. and Jason Rose; three great grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews.Leon retired from the United States Air Force with whom he served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #6223.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May12, 2010 in Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal, NY. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to Gino J. Merli Veteran's Center, 401 Penn Avenue, Scranton, PA 18503.
