KIMBALL, ROSLYN ROSE Sept. 5, 1922 to Sept. 13, 2007
Dignified and loving to the last, Roslyn Kimball passed peacefully in her home of cancer, Sept. 13, 2007. A toast was immediately made in her honor. For those who were privileged to know "Roz", her humor, sweetness, and optimism will be sorely missed.
Married in 1945, she was the devoted wife of James Ralph Kimball, deceased 2004, and incredible mother to her three children, Shelley of San Francisco, Bill of San Diego, Jim of Vacaville, and grandmother to Sarah, Elizabeth and Jim, all of Vacaville. She was born in Brooklyn, raised with her twin sister Evelyn Schauer, and baby sister Sue Kravitz, both deceased.
Roz came West in 1948 with her "Jimmy" to raise a family in Chula Vista and Bonita. She was a member of the Sweetwater and Chula Vista Women's Clubs, Eastern Star, and Lemon Grove United Methodist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at Glen Abbey's Little Chapel of the Roses, Bonita, 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 20, noon reception following, at Terrace Mobile Estates, Spring Valley. All friends are invited to celebrate Roz's life. Thank you for your kindness, prayers and support during her difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice.
