James Ralph Kimball, 87, of Spring Valley died Thursday. He was born in Schenectady, N.Y. and worked in civil service for the Navy. He retired from the Navy and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Roslyn Kimball; daughter, Rochelle Kimball of San Francisco; sons, William Kimball of Spring Valley and James Kimball of Vacaville; sister, Eleanor Wood of Bonita; and three grandchildren.

Services: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Lemon Grove United Methodist Church, 3205 Washington St., Lemon Grove. Inurnment: 10 a.m. Saturday, Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita.

Donations: San Diego Hospice, 4311 Third Ave., San Diego, CA 92103; or San Diego Center for the Blind, 5922 El Cajon Blvd., San Diego, CA 92115.
