Marvin H. Hasler, 83, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Meadow View Manor Nursing Home in Sheboygan, surrounded by his loving family.

Marvin was born February 19, 1929, in Dodge County, to Fred and Inez (Schneider) Hasler. He attended Elkhart Lake School District. Marvin served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951-53. On June 20, 1953, Marvin married Bonnie Koeser at St. George Catholic Church in Elkhart Lake. He was a talented machinist who worked for various companies in the area for 45 years, retiring from Curt Joa, Inc. in 1991.

Marvin was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls where he served as an usher. He enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling, golfing, and playing cards. Marvin took special pride in his woodworking skills building many items which he sold at craft fairs. He was most proud of obtaining a patent for his cap rack. Marvin and Bonnie loved to travel and take occasional trips to Oneida.

Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Bonnie; three daughters, Kathy La Vora of Sheboygan, Cindy (Larry) Fahney of Jefferson, Pat (Vic) Haen of Sheboygan; one son, Mark (Deb) Hasler of Sheboygan Falls; 10 grandchildren, Cory (Kim) Voskuil, Trisha Voskuil, Nicole (Tyler) Pike, Abby Voskuil, Kelly Vande Vreugde, Katie Vande Vreugde, Amy (Dan) Springhetti, Stephanie Hasler, Matthew Hasler, and Staci Hasler; four great-grandchildren, Cody Pike, Emma Pike, Gabriel Voskuil, and Madison Springhetti; one brother, Frederick "Fritz" Hasler of Elkhart Lake; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Dorothy Hasler; one brother Ernie Hasler.

To celebrate Marvin's life, Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Interment with military honors will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 6, 2012, in St. Mary's Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls
