Betty Mae Pearson, 93, left her earthly home to enter her eternal home on June 6, 2020. Betty was born in Hawthorne, PA on May 16, 1927 to the late James and Rae (Jenkins) Burkett. Betty is survived by husband Leonard Pearson and they celebrated 72 years of marriage in April. Also surviving are sons Jack (Pam) Pearson of Findlay, OH and Eric Pearson of Lima, OH; Grandchildren Rebecca (Dean) Besaw, Andrew (Ashley) Pearson, Jeffery (Christina) Pearson, Justin Pearson, Lorinda (Levi) Clagg, along with 17 great grand children and 1 deceased great grandson. Betty is survived by sisters Jane Shuttleworth of Pennsylvania, Mildred Schell of North Carolina, and Marjorie Bechert of Maryland. She is preceded in death by brother, James Robert Burkett. Betty enjoyed reading her Bible, playing the piano, and spending time with family. Betty was a member at Calvary Baptist Church where she played piano for many years. She was also a previous church member of Bible Fellowship Church where she played piano, taught Sunday school, and helped in KYB. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2020 from 5:00-8:00pm at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington, OH. Funeral services will be held at Bible Fellowship Church on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 2:00pm with additional visitation one hour prior to the services from 1:00-2:00pm. Burial service to follow at Arlington Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Kellogg officiating.
