Monica Jane Rodriguez, age 62, passed away September 15, 2011. Monica was very creative and enjoyed scrapbooking, jewelry making and baking, with cheesecakes being her specialty. She also loved to travel. Family was the most important thing to her and she loved her new granddaughter very much. She is survived by her sons, Mark Rodriguez (Liz Hamilton) of Gainesville, FL and Chris Rodriguez of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sisters, Joy Flowers of Gainesville, FL and Barbara Cox of Tallahassee, FL; brother, Stan Lakota of Tallahassee, FL and granddaughter, Enid Hamilton. A service remembering Monica's life was held on September 25, 2011, in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN. Published in Gainesville Sun from September 23 to September 24, 2011.
