Born December 15, 1934 in Bixby Oklahoma, passed away December 13, 2012 in Boynton Beach Florida. He was a member of the South Heights Assembly of God for 50 years.
Proceded in death by his parents, Neal and Fannie Johnston, and a sister, Pauline Raymond.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, a sister, and two brothers, and a very close sister-in-law and brother-in-law, and, and many nieces and nephews.
Ron attended school at Kiefer and Sapulpa, and later Okmulgee Tech for automotive service training. After he and Colleen married, they lived in Sapulpa for 10 years, then Tulsa for 8 years, then Jenks for 35 years before moving to Boynton Beach, Florida in 2011. His employment included Dr. Pepper, Pepsi Cola, and finally retiring from McDonald Douglas Aircraft. He was and avid collector and restorer of classic Chevrolets, and an avid fan of Oklahoma University Football.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:30 P.M. Tuesday, December 18 at Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main, Sapulpa. Services will be held at South Heights Cemetery Chapel at 10:00 A.M. December 19. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Sapulpa, OK. (Smith Funeral Home)
