She was born on September 28, 1914 in Beaver County, PA the daughter of Daniel C. and Maude (Crawford) Yoho. In May of 1935 she married her husband Samuel Kennedy who would pass away in November of 1976.
Ethel resided in Vienna for more than sixty-five years where she had operated her own beauty shop for more than fifty years before her retirement in 2001.
She enjoyed spending weekends with her husband and family at their camp in Tionesta, PA for many years. Ethel attended the Paynes Corner Christian church in Brookfield, OH and had also enjoyed knitting and traveling with her knitting club.
She is survived by her three sons Daniel (Donna) Kennedy, Robert (Jorena) Kennedy, and Samuel M. Kennedy all of Vienna, OH; seven grandchildren Tom (Roseann) Kennedy, Darlene Kennedy, Robert (Lori) Kennedy, Tamra (Daniel) Saltzmann, James (Jackie) Kennedy, Sandra (Rick) Brown, and Michael (Maria) Kennedy; and by seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by an infant daughter, two brothers Clarence R. Yoho and John E. Yoho, and by a sister Gladys I. Yoho.
Calling hours will be held for family and friends on Wednesday evening December 19, 2012 from 4:00-7:00PM at the Lane Family Funeral Homes Madasz Chapel 6923 Warren-Sharon Road in Brookfield, OH
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday morning at the funeral home. Friends may also call one hour prior to the start of the services.
Burial will take place at the Vienna Township Cemetery.
