"Services for Fred Teague, a Savannah businessman for 38 years, were conducted Sunday at the First Baptist Church by Rev. J. Fred Presley. Burial was in the Savannah Cemetery in charge of Breit & Hawkins Funeral Home. Mr. Teague died suddenly May 10 at his home in Savannah.

Frederick Raymond Teague was born Feb. 19, 1900, at Collyer, Kan., to William Francis Teague and Martha Warhurst Teague. He graduated from Ottawa University at Ottawa, Kan., and taught high school in Kansas and Missouri. He married Florence Maxwell in 1925 at Manhattan, Kan. In 1929 Mr. and Mrs. Teague came to Savannah and purchased the dry cleaning business of Jim Eickelberry. They operated the Model Cleaners at the southeast corner of the square until 1933, when they moved to the present location across from the Savannah post office.

During the years he lived in Savannah, Mr. Teague served eight years as a member of the Savannah board of education. He was a member of the Savannah Lodge No. 71, A.F. & A.M., and Savannah Chapter O.E.S.

He is survived by his wife of the home; a son, Frederick Eugene of Los Angeles; a daughter, Ruth Ann, a senior music student at Drake University at Des Moines, Iowa; three grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph W. Teague of Walla Walla, Wash., and Charles P. Teague of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Rufina Johnston of Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Martha Richmond of Centerville, Iowa."
