Juanita Geraldine (Geri) Webster
Jan 7, 1926 - Dec 10, 2012
Juanita was born in Edwards, MO to Robert and Cecil Carpenter and passed away in Hughson, CA. Juanita was a lifelong Christian, being the daughter and wife of ministers. For the past several years, she was a member of Free Holiness Church in Riverbank, CA. She lived a life of service based on the doctrine she believed in. Juanita was the cornerstone of our family. She was happiest with a baby in her lap, or a broom or a cookbook in her hands. She loved her children and was devoted to her grandchildren, babysitting as often as she was able. She had an old-fashioned work ethic that would not let her sit down when there was work to be done. She had many talents; she sewed, crocheted, quilted and with her brother, Wayne, completed numerous carpentry projects. She was a wonderful cook and presided over many Sunday dinners for the entire family. If she was busy, she was content. There is no doubt that now she is sweeping streets of gold and dusting pearly gates with Howard, telling her "Geri, would you please sit down and rest". We will miss her more than words can express. She is pre-deceased by her parents; 3 brothers, Leland, Wayne and Robert; 2 sisters, Orene and Betty (Deon); and daughter in-law, Barbara Webster. She was also pre-deceased by her husband of 47 years, Howard Webster. Juanita is survived by her 3 sons, Jack Webster, Roger (Rosemary) Webster and Dan (Donna) Webster; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who had a special place in their hearts for Aunt Geri. The family wishes to thank Lorraine Howser, her caregiver during the last several months that she was able to be home. She will always be a part of our family. We also wish to thank the doctors, nurses and therapists at Doctor's Hospital and Garden City Rehab Center for their efforts in bringing Mom back to health after her last illness. Lastly, a special thank you to the staff and caregivers at Samaritan Village, they went above and beyond to make Mom's last few months as happy as they could be. A Chapel Service will be held at 2pm on Friday, December 14 at Lakewood Funeral Home (Heritage Chapel) in Hughson, CA. Juanita will be laid to rest at Lakewood Memorial Park. Remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society . A guestbook is available online at www.lakewoodhughson.com
