Patricia Ann Rackley, 61, of Dora, MO passed to heaven on December 16, 2012 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center in Gainesville, MO after a life-long battle with Marfan syndrome, an inherited disease that affects the heart. She was born on December 8, 1951 in West Plains, MO the daughter of Harley and Lois (Trail) Smith.

Patricia graduated from Dora High School class of 1969. On April 8, 1971 she was united in marriage to Steve Rackley at her parent's home in Dora, MO. She graduated from beauty school and worked as a beautician for a few years before going to work at the Baxter Lab in Mountain Home, AR for 22 years. She also worked as a florist and at a grocery store to keep busy. She was the kind of person who loved everyone, and everyone who knew her, loved her back. If there ever was a Christian, she was one!! Patricia was a member of the Ball Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harley and Lois Smith; one daughter Darla Celeste Anderson; and one brother Basil Smith. She is survived by her husband Steve Rackley of the home in Dora, MO; one daughter Amanda Jo Martin and Chad Byrd of Gainesville, MO; two grandchildren Tony Anderson and Heather Little both of West Plains, MO; two sisters Geraldine Lovan and husband Glen of Dora, MO and Freda Evans and husband Doyle of Mountain Home, AR; two brothers Steve Smith and wife Judy of Willow Springs, MO and Robby Smith and wife Dana of Drury, MO; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Ball Church of Christ in Dora, MO with David Shipley officiating. Burial will be in the Blanche Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blanche Cemetery.
