Anita Joyce Dixon, 71, Carmel, formerly of Birdseye, died Sunday, Dec. 9th, 2012, at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville.
She was born in Birdseye on Dec. 16th, 1940, to Joe and Nora (Smith) Partenheimer.
Surviving are her husband, Ray Malcolm Dixon; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Michelle DeAnn Hirschinger, Carmel; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Gregory Dixon and a sister, Janet Lutes.
Mrs Dixon graduated from Birdseye High School in 1958 and was employed as an administrtive assistant at the Indiana Civil Defense Agency in Indianapolis and then as an executive secretary to the president of the National Homes Corporateion in Lafayette. She was also a landscape artist and especially enjoyed painting mountain scenes.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Speedway Baptist Church in Indianapolis.
The funeral will be at noon, Saturday at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.
The Rev. Mona Cluff will officiate.
Burial will be in Birdseye Cemetery in Birdseye.
