Roy Lawrence Blakeley - Roy Lawrence Blakeley, 97, died Feb 16 in North Carolina. He was a native of El Dorado county; Mr Blakeley was the son of the late Ulysses Simpson Grant Blakeley and Ellen Burrows Blakeley and the husband of the late Lillian Babbitt Blakeley.
While living in Placerville, Mr Blakeley was a member of the Placerville Church of the Nazarene and a former member of the California Elks Lodge. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in World Wars I and II, and a retired employee of Sunbeam Bakery Corporation.
He is survived by his daughters Gail Wood of North Carolina, Carol Chavannes of Arizona and Nadine Brenneman of Wilton. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Strickland Funeral Home in North Carolina.
