ROBERT KILMER.
The many friends and relatives in
this part of Dutchess were shocked to
hear of the sudden death of Robert
Kilmer at the Nassau Hospital, Mineola,
L. I., following an operation on
July 19. Mr. Kilmer was born at
Jackson Corners in 1874, the youngest
child of the late Cornelius and
Eliza Kilmer, a young man of fine
character, exemplary habits and most
highly esteemed by every one with
whom he came in contact. He
fully proved it in the last few hours,
surrounded by the very best surgeons
and nurses that could be had. Suffering
intense agony, conscious to the
end of his critical condition with his
always pleasant smile tried to comfort
his grief stricken sister, whose
loyalty to him never failed her. He
is survived by four brothers, Charles
of Pittsfield, Mass., John of Nassau,
Daniel of Yonkers and William of
Pine Plains and two sisters, Mrs.
Chas. Saulpaugh of Red Hook and
Mrs. Peter W. Kelley of 4218 Herkimer
Place, Bronx, from where his
funeral took place. Interment was in
Woodlawn Cemetery.
