Raymond L. Bush, 85, of Franklin, Texas, loved by family, friends and his dogs, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012, after complications while battling cancer. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 16, 2012, at McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin. Jimmy Sanders will officiate. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2012, at the funeral home.

Raymond was born in Franklin, Texas, to the late Stewart Bush and Elizabeth Knight Bush. He proudly served in the U.S. Army at the end of World War II and had the privilege to be a guard for General Douglas McArthur. At the end of his military service and returning back to the states, he elected to pass on a scholarship offer to play football at Texas Tech University and marry the love of his life, Elizabeth Moore. He loved working at Texas Instrument in Dallas, Texas, for over 40 years. He had a passion for deer and turkey hunting with family and friends for over 50 years.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife and partner of 63 years, Elizabeth Moore Bush; and brothers, Willis and Bobby Joe Bush.

He is survived by his son, Rondell L. Bush, of Irving, Texas; daughter, Brooky Bush Sanders-Tubb, of Highland Park, Texas; grandchildren, Rhonda Duggan, Rebecca Abshire, Regina Walter, Rochelle Lusk, Richard Bush, Colbi Sanders, Morgan Tubb, and Tiffany Tubb; great grandchildren, Abbey, Grey, Ryan, Daniel, Andrew, Mathew, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Sydney, Travis, Lucy, Taylor and Riley; and many other relatives and numerous friends.
