Ruby Elizabeth Price, 88, Leavenworth, died Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Country Care Home in Easton, KS. She was born February 1, 1924 in Lonoke, Arkansas the daughter of William and Purlee Fryman Burns. On July 6, 1939 in Platte City, MO she married Anton J. Price. He predeceased her on January 25, 2004. She served her country during WWII as a welder for Missouri Valley Shipyards. She continued to serve her country as a military housewife and mother to her three children. She and her husband enjoyed camping very much and were members of the Golden Wheels, National Campers and Hikers and the Leavenworth Pioneers. They were also winter Texans for several years and did a lot of square dancing. She was a member of the Easton United Methodist Church. Survivors include: Daughter, Gloria J. Stafford and husband, Gary of Easton, KS. Sons, Anton J. "Tony" Price and wife Verlene of Williamsburg, VA and Gary S. Price and wife Brenda of Rapid City, SD. One sister; Florence Rose Black of Lansing; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers: William, Jr., Clarence, Lloyd and Charles and one sister: Agnes Honican. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Davis Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, KS. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Easton United Methodist Church, Easton, KS. Rev. Billy Hughes will officiate. Burial will be in the Easton Cemetery, Easton, KS. Memorial contributions may be given to the Easton United Methodist Church, Easton, KS.
