Dorothy Patricia Hamblin, 95, passed away in her sleep February 7, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Redding from natural causes. Dorothy was born on September 10, 1914, in Oakland, CA. She was the second youngest of four girls and was affectionately called "Dot" by her sisters Elizabeth, Ruth and Catherine. She married Frank Hamblin and they raised their two boys. In 1972, after the death of her husband, Dorothy moved to Redding to be closer to her family. During that time, Dorothy was involved with the Redding Women's Club, volunteered her time at The Attic thrift shop on Oregon Street in Redding, and enjoyed playing bridge and poker. Her other pastimes included reading, keeping up with the stock market, travelling to Tahoe and Reno for gambling getaways, and collecting cow figurines. No services will be held.

Allen and Dahl Funeral Chapel facilitated final arrangements for the family, followed by cremation.
