MARTIN Raymond J. Martin, age 83 of Milford, previously of Bridgeport, died on Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in West Haven. Mr. Martin was a self-employed accountant and was the owner of Martin Associates in Bridgeport. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Martin was a member of VFW Post 145, American Legion Post 12, Port 5 and Marine Corps League. He is survived by one beloved daughter, Deborah Patterson and her husband, John of Milford; three beloved sons, Christopher Martin and his wife, Patricia of Shelton, Michael Martin and his wife, Gina of Shelton and Gregory Martin and his wife, Ida of Shelton; nine grandchildren, J.P, Matthew and Sherry Patterson, Brian and Brenden Martin, Vicky and Sean Martin and Gregory Jr. and Lucretia Martin; one brother, Charles Gay and his wife, Martha of North Carolina; his former spouse, Margaret Lewis of Wilton; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. officiated by Rev. Victor Martin in the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 4 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be private.
