Joseph Paul Shoemaker, 86, Warriors Mark, died Monday at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. He was born in Bellefonte, son of William Carey and Charity L. (Steel) Shoemaker. Surviving are his wife, Virginia (Grazier); five children: Judy, William Ernest, Pene Gelenberg, Allen and Libbie Barrows; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Dorothy Gaitanis and Eleanor Chandler. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Private inurnment will be made at the convenience of the family at Burket Cemetery, Warriors Mark. Arrangements are by Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone.
