He was transferred to Co C, Ohio 29th OVI on Nov 1 1861. He was wounded May 7 1864 during the Battle of Dug Gap (Mill Creek), Georgia. He was transferred to Co F, 6th Veterans Reserve Corps on Mar 13 1865 by order of the War Department. There is no discharge record. He filed Jan 30 1878 for an invalid's pension which was approved - Cert # 154376. His wife filed Jul 13 1914 for a widow's pension which was approved - Cert # 782499.
