Gloria Jean Casey McDaniel, HITCHCOCK, TX - Our beloved Gloria Jean Casey McDaniel passed from this life December 10, 2012. Family and friends will celebrate her life Friday, December 14, 2012 at the Mainland Funeral Home Chapel in La Marque with visitation beginning at 4:00 PM followed by services at 6:00 PM. Pastor Willa Simon will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be Tuesday Dec. 18, 2012 at Houston National Cemetery. Gloria graduated from Lansingburgh High School in 1966. She served in the United States Air Force for four years with a Honorable Discharge as a Sargent. She attended the Living Word Community of Faith Church faithfully until her health failed, under the guidance of Pastor Steve Taylor II. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marietta & Sayles Casey Sr. and sister-in-law, Deborah McDaniel. Left to cherish Gloria's memories are her husband Matthew McDaniel Jr. (36 years); sons, Nicholas (Erica) Casey, Christopher McDaniel, and daughters Suzanne Nieder and Lasundra McDaniel; her sisters, Mary Sue McCall, Patricia (Charles) Bechand, Janice (Shawn) Lajeunesse, Marguerite (Dan) Roseberger, Frances (Robert) Lockrow; brothers, Sayles (Maria) Casey Jr., William (Tina) Casey; grand-children, Amber, Nicholas, Jr., Tierra, Dylan, Chrishauna, Destiny, Brayden & Colvin; Mr. and Mrs. Matthew McDaniel Sr., mother and father-in-law; extended family, sister in laws Shirley McDaniel, Sharon (Mike) Thibodeaux, brother-in-law Dennis (Rose) McDaniel. Special friends, Emily Dunlap of Las Vegas, NV, Willa Simon and Chandra Richardson. Special thanks to her nephew Samuel (Puncho) Jenkins. Memorial Liturgy Mass will be held at Our Lady of Victory Church in Sycaway, at 7:30 PM on Tuesday December 18, 2012.
