Tina May Gordon
FAIRMONT — Tina May Gordon, 41, of Wheeling, passed away Saturday (Oct. 16, 2010) at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born on Oct. 25, 1968 in Fairmont, the daughter of Kathleen Shirley Fast Gordon of Fairmont, and the late William Junior Gordon Sr.
Tina worked REM Community Option in mail transport and doing office work.
She enjoyed her involvement in the Special Olympics program. Tina was a special person; despite her adversity she had a love for life and exceptional empathy for others. She loved all animals, especially horses. She had a fondness for country music. She most of all enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her happiness and bubbliness were contagious to others and she always seemed to make the best out of the difficult life that was dealt to her.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by five sisters, including her twin sister Trina Sinatra of Morgantown, Rose Skidmore of Elkins, Bessie Pritchard and her husband Bert of Fairchance, Pa., Pamela May and her husband Eb of Morgantown, and Cheryl Johnson and her husband Chuck of Worthington; one brother, William Gordon Jr. and his wife Mary of Louisville, Ky.; and several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Chuck Gordon.
Friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home from 1 to 9 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 1 pm. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Benny Hager officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
