Estelle (Rudy) Schoenberger-Schroeder, of Amherst, Ohio died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at Amherst Manor Nursing Home, following a short illness at age 82. Burial was in Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst. She was born April 16, 1922, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Edward and Catherine RUDY who were born in Germany. She was raised in Detroit and Buffalo, N.Y., and moved to Amherst in 1958.

Her first husband, Alois Schoenberger, born May 10, 1910 in Germany, died March 8, 1985 in Community Health Partner West Hospital in Lorain, Ohio at age 74; they divorced. Alois, a WW2 US Army veteran, enlisted April 17, 1942 in Buffalo, NY.

Her second husband, Sheldon Merten ''Sam'' Schroeder born 28 Sep 1914 in Amherst, died April 5, 1998 age 83 in Amherst Hospital.

Estelle was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Amherst. She loved to read the Bible and listening to Christian tapes that are now being used by churches as a tape ministry. She enjoyed crocheting, tennis player, biking, bowling, cards and bingo and was a Cleveland Indians fan.
