Fond du Lac (WI) Commonwealth Reporter, Tues. Aug. 27, 1968, p. 24:6. Mrs. Mowers Dies At 90 In Hospital. Mrs. Alvina L. Mowers, 90, a former Ripon resident, died Sunday at Tomah Hospital. Born in Ripon, Dec. 7, 1877, she was the daughter of Fred and Hanna Reek Liestikow. She was educated in Ripon and had lived in Ripon and lately with her daughter, Mrs. Paul Gray of Tomah. She was married to Fred Mowers Dec. 31, 1902. Mrs. Mowers is survived by one son, Leonard Mowers of San Francisco CA, and her daughter with whom she made her home. She was preceded in death by her husband. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon, the Rev. Carl Stubenvoll officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Butzin Funeral Home, Ripon.
