Arthur "Junior" Stanley, age 77 of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012 in a local hospital. He was a native and resident of Oneida, Tennessee until 1959. Junior was previously a resident of Hixon before moving to Soddy Daisy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1955 to 1957. Junior was a founding member of the New Life Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Arthur Stanley, Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Stanley; son Jeff Stanley of Sale Creek; daughter Michelle Walker of Soddy Daisy; grandchildren Cody Walker, Madison Stanley and Tyler Day; sisters Hilda and husband R.L. Forbis, Wanda Leslie, Kathy and husband Jerry Lloyd.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Williamson and Sons Funeral Home in Soddy Daisy with Pastor J.D. Gibson, Bro. Ray Dotson and George Angel officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home.
