Juanita was the oldest daughter born to Ed and Maud Bostick. She was born during the great depression and the dust bowl in 1930.

The family abandoned their cotton farm in San Saba, Texas in 1933 and moved to the city of Flagstaff, Arizona.

They moved into their new house in Bend, Oregon on Juanita's ninth birthday; the day Hitler invaded Poland.

Her father grew potatoes, which he sold to the government. They soldiers would frequently camp out at the farms where they would get home-cooked meals.

In 1945 the family moved back to Texas. Juanita graduated from Bangs High School in 1949. She went to work as a nanny while attending business college in Abilene, Texas.

In 1955 she moved to San Jose, California to be near her mom and sister. She went to work for Jennings Electronics where she met her husband Joe Irwin. They lived in California for many years before deciding to move to Las Vegas.

She worked as a Real Estate Agent for 15 years while raising their two children.

She returned to Northern California where she enjoyed retirement by gardening, sewing, walking the dogs and feeding the local wildlife.
