On March 30, 1941, she married Richard Harold Barber in Spencer. Following their marriage they lived most of their lives in and around Laurens, Marathon and Schaller. Mrs. Barber held numerous jobs, eventually becoming a full partner in her husband's trucking business. If asked, she enjoyed her job of being wife and mother the most.
Mrs. Barber enjoyed camping, going to garage sales and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Marathon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Norman Larson and one sister Esther Jensen.
Mrs. Barber is survived by her husband Richard of Panora; one son and his wife Richard (Rick) and Joan Barber of Linden; one daughter and her husband Mary and Lyle Archer of Council Bluffs; four grandsons and their wives and four great-grandchildren.
