L. Kenneth Miller

L. Kenneth Miller, 83, 1101 W. Hempstead Ave., died at 9:35 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 1998, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation began today, and the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the First Lutheran Church in Fairfield or the Nelson Home activity fund in Mr. Miller's name.

Mr. Miller was born July 9, 1915, in Packwood, the son of Hugh Henry and Irma Louise Wilson Miller. He grew up and attended school in the Packwood and Stockport communities. He married Erma Phyllis Waggoner Aug. 4, 1935, in Lockridge. He farmed before they moved to Fairfield in 1939. He worked as a glove cutter at Fairfield Glove Company and was a truck driver and worked at Bradshaw Furniture and Walker's Office Supply in deliveries.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, the Eagles Lodge and the Elks Lodge.

Survivors include one daughter, Sue Jensen of Clovis, Calif.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Anders of Fairfield; and one brother, Keith of Richmond, Va.

He was preceded in death by his wife June 20, 1997, and his parents.
