Services for Alice Wells, 73, of Lindale, Texas, are scheduled for 10:00 am Saturday December 15, 2012 at Eubank Chapel with Bro. Mike Newby officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.
Burial will be in Cool Springs Cemetery, Van Zandt County, Texas.
She passed away December 12, 2012 in Tyler, TX.
Mrs. Wells was born January 21, 1939 in Yuba City, OK, to Malcolm Opid and Edith Audry Tinsley Hamby.
Alice grew up in Yuba, OK. where she graduated High School and played on the basketball team. Alice worked in Dallas, as an Accountant for DISD, and there is where she met her husband and they married on Nov. 5, 1960. They moved to Lindale in 1984. She enjoyed crafts, interior decorating, sewing and raising her two boys. Alice was a very loving mother, wife and grandmother.
Surviving are Husband, Glen Wells of Lindale, TX, Son, Steven & Terri Wells of Teague, TX, Son, Dale & Annette Wells of Naples, TX, 6 Grandchildren, Michelle Troxell, Amber Wells, Justin Wells, Jacob Wells, Clayton Wells, Lana Wells, 2 Great Grandchildren, Adam Troxell, Tori Troxell, Brother, Lee Hamby, Sister, Shirley Coburn, Sister, Belle Suiter, Sister, Jackie DeGraffenreid and Brother, Tinsley Hamby.
Myrna was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Martha Hamby.
