Charles Lee Williams of Fredonia passed away on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 in Fredonia at his home. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at rest Haven Cemetery in Brady. Charles Lee was born on Dec. 30, 1926, to John Harrison and zelma Kuykendall Williams in Brady. A lifetime resident of McCulloch and Mason counties, Charles Lee was a farmer, rancher and a member of the Mason First Baptist Church. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, farming, ranching, walking his dog and stock shows. Survivors include two sons, John C. Williams and wife, zulma, and James K. Williams and wife, Barbie; two daughters, Sue Ann Stafford and husband, John, and rita Jocelyn Williams, all of Fredonia; one brother, John e. Williams of Mason; eight grandchildren, John Cody Williams, Calvin Lee Williams, Charles Alexander Williams, Alan Layne Stafford, Leesa Lyn Holden, Lesley Stafford, Sarah
renee Williams and Madelyn Gracie Williams; three greatgrandchildren, Leilani Stafford, Braden Stafford and Keith Holden and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Charles Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Joyce Williams; his parents; a son, edd Layne Williams and a brother, Cecil Williams. Pallbearers will be Cody Williams, Calvin Williams, Alex Williams, Lesley Stafford, Blake Holden, and robert Williams. An honorary pallbearer will be Layne Stafford, who is currently serving in Afghanistan.
