Neva was the daughter of William Wallace Culver and Kittie Marguerite Lenny Culver. She married Howard Reel on June 19, 1931 in North Bloomfield.

Mrs. Neva C. Reel, 70, of 202 Washington St., formerly of North Bloomfield, died Saturday at 11:35 a.m. in Trumbull Memorial Hospital of stroke complications following a 1 1/2 year illness.

She was born Jan. 26, 1914, in North Bloomfield, a daughter of W. Wallace and Kittie Lenney Culver.

Mrs. Reel was a life-time resident of North Bloomfield until moving to Warren 1 1/2 years ago. She worked for Kennametal Inc. in Orwell for 13 years before retiring in 1979.

She was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church and a member of the Bloomfield Garden Club.

She is survived by one son, Howard J. Reel Sr. of Southington; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Hazel) Schimley of Southington and Mrs. Louise McMasters of Johnston; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Reel was preceded in death by her husband, Howard J. Reel, who died April 5, 1965; one sister and a grandson.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Brownwood Cemetery, North Bloomfield.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
