On 30 January 1796 he firstly married Sarah "Sally" Tomlinson in Johnston County, North Carolina per several NC Marriage records including NC Marriage Bonds #000070575.
The wife Mary linked below is believed per family trees and found family history records to be the former Mary Nesbit or Nisbet. They married purportedly on 29 August 1805 in Iredell County, N.C.
Francis appears to have children by both wives. Research underway.
A Last Will & Testament appears under the name Francis Young possibly written and filed on 2 April 1853, in Iredell County under NC Wills Case# 757 available for viewing on ancestry.com. Among other bits of information it reveals Francis was the owner of quite a few slaves and their families of which he leaves to various family members in the will and it also references a homestead of 700 plus acres located at Mount Grove, Iredell County, in addition to other smaller tracts of land. The will expresses Francis's wish to appoint his sons Thomas M. Young and Archibald L. Young as his executors. Various other administrative probate records come up following his death with an inferred death year of 1854, but show documents still being filed into 1855 and 1856. Much of it is illegible and this contributor is not knowledgeable in court documents. Again, all can be viewed via ancestry.com.
Francis Young's death place appears to have been more specifically in Hunting Creek, Iredell County, N.C.
