Stephen J. Donato, 50, of RD 6 Stroudsburg, died Sunday, in the Summit Health Care Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Albany, N.Y., he was the son of Delorez (Gaspary) Donato of RD 6 Stroudsburg, and the late Anthony Donato.
A real estate salesman for Meadowview Homes in Bath for six years, he previously worked for Mount Effort Stair & Millwork for two years.
He was a member of Christ Hamilton United Lutheran Church, Hamilton Square.
He had attended the University of Scranton.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Dennis Donato of Allston, Mass.; one daughter, Erin Donato of Wilkes-Barre; four brothers, Paul Donato of Neola, Anthony Donato of Sciota, Joseph Donato of Kresgeville, and Andrew Donato of Snydersville; two sisters, Andrea Nicoletti of Hellertown, and Roseanne Edinger in Tennessee; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at Christ Hamilton United Lutheran Church. The Rev. Ralph Boyer IV and Fred Robertson will officiate. Burial will be in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville.
A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, at William H. Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209, Brodheadsville, and — p.m. until time of the service on Wednesday, in the Lighthouse at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the memory of Stephen J. Donato, to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 2 International Plaza, Suite 245, Philadelphia, PA 19113.
