HENDRY, Thomas B., 91, was released to new life on December 12, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012. The family will receive friends at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home beginning at 11:30 a.m. and the celebration service will begin at 12:30 p.m. with Hoye Duncan officiating. Interment to follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. Thomas Hendry was born in Shady Grove, Florida on January 16, 1921. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, his son, Robert (Buddy), his sisters, Lura Mae Kinard and Merle Steely and his brother, Rupert "Boge" Hendry. Thomas was a man of few words, but lived a life that spoke volumes about how to live. He modeled faithfulness in a marriage of 70 years with Patricia; he showed diligence in working at Commercial Carriers for 55 years and commitment in his membership at First Free Will Baptist Church for 30 years. Thomas spent his life being faithful, diligent, and committed to his family, work, and faith. Thomas is survived by his children; Tommie (Lydon) Perkins of Tampa, FL, Joy (Anilo) Gonzalez of Odessa, FL, his daughter-in-law, Phyllis Hendry of Augusta, GA; his grandchildren; Kim Perkins, Amy (Ray) Norris, Lee Ann Register, Lydon (Erica) Perkins II, Jeffrey (Beth) Hendry, Mark (Kendra) Hendry, Brian (Deidre) Hennecy, Robin (Eddie) Price, Valerie (Robert) Gonzalez; his great-grandchildren, Christopher Norris, Jacob, Jonathan and Jeremy Register, Lydon III, Tanner and Kenedee Perkins, Jake, Beau, Hayden and Haley Hendry, Priscilla, Lydia, and Esther Hennecy, Abbey and Elijah Price, Jessica and Ariana Gonzalez; his great-great-grandchild, Mason Alexander Colley. He is also survived by his sisters; Alda Hatcher, Reba Hays, Jewel Horton, and June Lytle. Pallbearers will be Lydon Perkins II, Ray Norris, Jeff Hendry, Mark Hendry, Jerry Slaughter, Richard Pickles, Rodney Lytle, and Christopher Norris.
