Rilla Callahan Castle
SHAMROCK - Rilla Callahan Castle, 81, died Friday, June 25, 1999.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Shamrock Cemetery with Joe G. Jernigan, pastor of Calvary Christian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Mrs. Castle was born in Vendor, Ark., and lived most of her life in California. She moved to Texas two-and-a-half years ago. She was a Baptist.
Her first marriage was to Earnest Callahan in Stroud, Okla. He died in 1976. She also was preceded in death by her second husband, Houston Castle, in 1993.
Survivors include a son, Leroy Callahan of San Angelo; a daughter, Dolores Stafford of Shamrock; two brothers, Bud Maxville of Colorado and Clo Maxville of Paradise, Calif.; two sisters, Reba Losey of Bakersfield, Calif., and Sylvia Schultz of Paradise; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
