Mrs.Sarah Jane Giberson Portwood, wife of Peter R.Portwood, died Wednesday morning at 10 oclock in the home at 868 W.King street. Sarah Jane McCauley was born in Decatur December 12, 1852.
She is survived by her husband and the following children by her first marriage,Mrs.Emma Bland,Edward Giberson,Mrs.J.Bell,Frank Giberson of Decatur,George Giberson of Peoria, Mrs.Laura Snyder of Detroit, Mrs. Lena Belle Reese,Jennings,Ok.and Orth Giberson of Freeport. Also one sister,Mrs. Mary Lee Masters of Decatur. There are 23 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was a member of the United Brethren church. The body was taken to the Dawson and Wikoff funeral home. Services will be held in the Second United Brethren church Friday afternoon at 2:30.Burial will be in Mt.Gilead.
