John Henry Satterfield married Louisa Fendely in 1838, Greenville, SC. Their children were Martha, James T. (KP) and Elizabeth. Only James T's. family has been found.
Louisa died prior to the 1860 Pond Springs, Walker, GA census. By the time the 1860 census was taken John had married Harriet Jackson who is shown in the photo on thiw page with him. Harriet's burial place is unknown as is Louisa's.
John and Harriet had six children. They were Louisa (named after his first spouse as was the custom at those times), Thomas H., Robert Oscar, Gideon, Susan (Sannie), Jane E, and Samuel Price.
Louisa date of death has never been never been determined. Gideon died soon after the 1900 Johnson County, TX census. His spouse Corey Payne moved to Locust Grove, Mayes, OK to be near Robert Oscar and Samuel Price, Gideon's brothers. She remarried in 1912 and died in Alabama.
Susie Satterfield married a Daniel Morris 18 Nov 1892. They have not been located after the 1900 Chickamauga census.

Gravesite Details
A warranty deed was found that had been signed by John on 6 Jun 1896 which makes his date of death in 1888 look doubtful. A further search will be made to determine his date of death.
