Mary F. Burchfield, 54, of Carbon Hill, passed away Dec. 10, 2012 at her residence.Mary F. Burchfield, of Carbon Hill, passed away on Dec. 10, 2012, at the age of 54, at her residence, after a short battle with cancer. Mary was born Aug. 30, 1958 in Nelsonville. Preceeded in death by her Parents Paul Franklin & Betty Lax. Graduated Nelsonville-York High School 1in 1976. Worked at AEP for 24 years. Mary enjoyed Country Music, traveling to see her favorites. Surving is her husband, James L. Burchfield, Aunt & Uncle Don and Joan Lax Hamilton.Numerous cousins including James D. Lax and Jennifer Clouston Starkey, and her dog Sammy, which she loved. Mary was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Tillie Lax, who raised her until her death, her biological father John Lax. Graveside services held at 1 PM, Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 at Carbon Hill Cemetery with Rev. Ernie Perkins. Arrangements by Heinlein-Brown Funeral services, Logan.
