Lee J. Peters, 85, formerly of Nanticoke, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, in Abington Manor.

She was the widow of the Frank S. Peters, MD, who died in 1986.

Born June 1, 1927 in Nanticoke, and was the daughter of the late Bruce and Marie (Rozmarek) Janoski. She was a graduate of Nanticoke High School and attended Syracuse University. She furthered her studies and was a graduate of the Arts Student League and the Traphagen of Art, New York City.

Prior to her being married, she was a fashion illustrator in New York City, and later was a fashion artist at the Boston Store, in Wilkes-Barre. She was also an art instructor at the Catholic Youth Center, Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Parish, Clarks Summit.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Abington Manor for the kind and compassionate care shown to Lee.

She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Edward Karski.

The funeral will be Monday with Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Snows, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit.

Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the church Monday, 9:30 until 10 a.m.

Arrangements are being made by the Jennings-Calvey Funeral Service, Clarks Summit.
