Mr. Otis Ozelle Stewart, 77, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 13th, 2012, in his home after a long illness. Mr. Stewart was born in Lake City on January 25th, 1935. He was a son of the late Willie Stewart and the late Pearl Morris Stewart and was the husband of Mary Lou Young Stewart. Mr. Stewart retired from Santee Print Works and Talon of Lake City. He was an avid fisherman, often going after redbreast on Lynches River and spots and whiting off the pier in Garden City. He also was a huge fan of major league baseball. Mr. Stewart loved watching his favorite team - the Atlanta Braves - and followed them religiously. He knew all the statistics for the players and teams of the MLB- who was traded, what the players salaries were, how the teams stood in the ranking - he knew it all, and could recite it off the top of his head. Mr. Stewart was fun-loving and enjoyed jokingly "picking on" his friends and family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who was a dedicated family man that will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Mr. Stewart is preceded in death by his two sisters, Willie Mae Parrott and Myrtle Dubose Rodgers.
